The Role
We’re hiring a Platform Engineer to build and maintain the infrastructure that underpins all of Lawhive’s products. You’ll own our cloud environments, deployment pipelines, security foundations and observability, working closely with product engineers to ensure they can ship quickly and reliably. This role is hands‑on and focused on creating a resilient, scalable platform as we continue to grow and evolve our systems.
Responsibilities
- Deployment patterns and practices – Building and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines (GHA, AWS, ECS, K8s)
- Infrastructure and system architecture – Building and maintaining our platform infrastructure, and contributing to system design as we scale
- Security and compliance – Executing on security and compliance roadmaps and hardening our software, systems and data security. Ensuring we have access controls, audit and compliance processes in place
- Observability and reliability – Owning monitoring and alerting systems to ensure we can inspect our services and respond to incidents
- Developer experience & collaboration – Working with product engineering teams to improve our developer experience
Tech stack and day‑to‑day tools
- TypeScript – for the majority of our applications, frontends and microservices
- Python – for data ingestion and our AI services
- AWS – for our cloud infrastructure
- PostgreSQL – for our data storage
- Terraform – for defining infrastructure as code
Qualifications
- Deep experience in DevOps, infrastructure and security at pace – You have worked in fast‑moving start/scale‑ups that ship hourly
- Strong release, deployment and cloud experience – You have worked extensively with CI/CD systems and modern cloud deployment patterns, GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform, AWS
- Passion about developer experience and productivity – Working with product engineers to create simple solutions to move fast regardless of the tech stack
- Knowledge of modern product engineering patterns and practices – Experience in product‑centric companies, familiarity with the TypeScript ecosystem, product testing practices and solid system design fundamentals
- Strong security mindset – experience handling sensitive data and systems with strong access controls
