About the Role: In this ‘first of\' role, our Legal Practice Lead, Civil Litigation, will act as the subject matter expert and key point of contact for Lawhive\'s Civil Litigation practice area. Responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality legal services, this role will be in charge of mentoring and supervising lawyers, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role plays a critical part in the development of Lawhive\'s in-house legal team and contributes to its reputation through thought leadership and client-focused initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years PQE, be passionate about tech-driven solutions, a strong people leader, and motivated by our mission of rewriting the rulebook on legal services. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing litigation across small, fast, and multi-track claims, ensuring procedural compliance and case strategy optimisation Acting as the point of contact for document drafting reviews or approvals - IE review of LBAs, Expert Instructions, Court Documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements Supervising and ensuring the quality of legal work performed by both in-house lawyers and external consultants Providing advice and expertise on complex civil litigation matters, including breach of contract, negligence, and debt recovery.
