Our platform combines regulated human lawyers collaborating alongside the world's first AI lawyer specifically built for consumer legal work. Equal access to the law is one of the biggest and most pressing unsolved problems in society today. The Role
Are you passionate about law and excited by the future of legal technology? We're looking for a forward-thinking lawyer who can own cases from inception to completion, with civil litigation experience focusing on landlord and tenant disputes, property litigation, and boundary/neighbour disputes.
What The Job Involves
- Managing a caseload of civil litigation matters, with a primary focus on:
- Landlord and tenant advice (possession proceedings, rent arrears, breaches of tenancy agreements, etc.)
- Neighbour/boundary disputes & small claims
- Residential property including advice on equity transfers
Requirements
- 3+ years PQE in civil litigation and/or dispute resolution
- Excellent organisational skills to manage a high volume caseload
- Interest in Legaltech and how AI can be used to improve the legal system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Technologically proficient, able to adapt to multiple software platforms and quickly learn new systems
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Empathy and patience when dealing with questions
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
- Comfortable working in a remote-first environment
Desirable Knowledge/Experience
- Working with local councils or housing associations
- Working within a law centre or pro bono charity
- Experience in family law & private client
