PURPOSE OF ROLE
Our client is seeking a talented insurance professional to support the growth and development of their Property, Liability and Combined portfolio across South West and Wales. This is a key opportunity to join a small high-performing team with exposure to both national and independent brokers and a varied book ranging from Β£5k-Β£250k GWP.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite renewal business across property, liability and combined classes
- Develop and maintain relationships with key broker partners across the region
- Deliver profitable growth in line with business objectives
- Provide technical support to junior team members and contribute to best practice standards
DAY TO DAY
- Assess risk and negotiate terms on new and existing accounts
- Conduct regular broker visits across South West and Wales
- Collaborate with both the senior management team and the wider team to support regional strategy
EXPERIENCE
- Experience underwriting Property & Casualty risks
- Previous exposure to both national and independent brokers
- Open to Senior Property & Casualty underwriters or strong underwriter-level candidates
SKILLS
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Commercial acumen and market awareness
- Ability to work autonomously and within a small collaborative team
- Technically sound underwriting judgement
