Our client is looking to add an experienced SME Account Handler to their team. This role involves managing e‑traded commercial insurance accounts, fostering strong client relationships, and supporting business growth, with opportunities to work with specialised schemes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored insurance solutions and acting as the primary point of contact for advice and support.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market insights, generating leads and successfully closing opportunities.
- Manage policy renewals, negotiate competitive terms with insurers, and regularly review client portfolios to reflect changes in risk or business activities.
- Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and Consumer Duty obligations, providing guidance to clients and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery, contribute to team objectives, and share insights and best practices to improve outcomes.
- Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes, maintaining strong relationships with insurers, brokers, and key industry contacts.
- Deliver high standards of service consistently, proactively addressing client needs and ensuring client satisfaction across all interactions.

- Manage a portfolio of SME clients, providing tailored insurance solutions.
- Conduct policy reviews and advise on risk management.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in commercial insurance, with a focus on e‑traded package policies.
- Knowledge of insurance products, markets, and underwriting processes.
- Proficiency with insurance platforms and client management systems.
- Track record in business generation and client portfolio management.
- Understanding of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty obligations.
- Cert CII qualification or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience using Acturis or similar systems.
