Motor Underwriter

Roles available: One senior and one mid level.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Motor Underwriter to join our clients team in the City of London (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of motor underwriting experience and possess strong knowledge of insurance product features and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Underwrite personal motor insurances within agreed guidelines and authority levels.
2. Underwrite new and existing businesses, provide quotes, and negotiate pricing.
3. Develop and strengthen relationships with brokers, providing technical support.
4. Provide high-quality customer service and handle all queries.
5. Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to brokers or customers.
6. Liaise with other departments such as Claims, Finance, and IT.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. At least 3+ years of motor underwriting experience.
2. Knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
3. Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
4. Strong communication and negotiating skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

DAY TO DAY

1. Underwriting personal motor insurances.
2. Developing and maintaining broker relationships.
3. Providing technical support to brokers.
4. Ensuring accurate policy documentation.
5. Liaising with various internal departments.
