Purpose of Role
We are working in partnership with a respected Insurance Broker, known for their specialism in Theatre and Entertainment risks. They are now seeking an Account Handler to support their growing client portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous commercial insurance experience who is looking to develop their career within a truly unique and specialised sector of the industry.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Account Executives in servicing a diverse book of business across Commercial and some HNW risks
- Preparing and issuing policy documentation including new business packs, endorsements, and cover notes
- Handling and processing bordereaux, with awareness of delegated authority requirements
- Liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth policy administration
- Ensuring data integrity across internal systems and documentation
- Supporting with general administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required
Day-to-Day
- Issue timely and accurate policy documentation
- Maintain and update client files on Open GI
- Work closely with brokers and insurers to resolve queries
- Assist in compiling bordereaux and liaise on any discrepancies
- Help manage key timelines for renewals and endorsements
- Provide general support to ensure excellent client service delivery
Experience
- 2-3 years of insurance experience within a commercial lines environment
- Familiarity with a range of insurance products – particularly property, liability, or entertainment-related risks is a bonus
- Experience working within a broking or underwriting team preferred
- Previous exposure to delegated authority or bordereaux handling advantageous
Skills
- Competent with Open GI or similar broking systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude
- Passion or interest in the arts or entertainment industry is welcomed
