Due to growth, this respected insurance broker has an opportunity for a Personal Lines Advisor to join their office in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate must have experience working with home and motor insurance policies; HNW experience would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- To act as a Personal Insurance Broker on specific nominated accounts and to support other members of the division on accounts as and when appropriate.
- To manage a range of customer enquiries via telephone, email and post always providing excellent customer service.
- To develop the account through existing client contacts and contribute to maximising growth through converting new business enquiries, cross sale and up sale of relevant ancillary products.
- Provide assistance to the claims department with any relevant claims.
- Updating our client records with accurate information received from insurers including new business, adjustments and renewals.
- Transfer of copy and documents into the client electronic file.
- Maintain good credit control within your client portfolio.
- Advice given meets clients' requirements in all cases and recommendations and reasons documented in all cases.
Experience
- Experience gained handling private client insurance accounts.
- The successful candidate will be part of a busy, successful team and will need to be highly motivated and efficient.
- A commitment and willingness to work towards a minimum qualification of Cert CII is required.
Day-to-day
- Play a major role in ensuring we give a first-class service to our clients projecting the organisation as a quality company.
- To answer calls from customers, reply to email requests or queries as well as completing renewals and new business quotes.
- Converting new business enquiries, cross sale and up sale of relevant ancillary products.
- Administration of new business, MTA's and renewals.
