PURPOSE OF ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Account Handler to join their Corporate Team. This key role involves managing complex commercial insurance portfolios, delivering excellent client service, and supporting business growth. You will work closely with Account Executives to provide tailored insurance solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, acting as their main contact
- Deliver customised insurance solutions to meet client needs
- Lead the renewal process, negotiating terms with insurers
- Ensure accurate policy administration and documentation
- Advise clients on insurance options and coverages
- Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and internal standards
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Collaborate across departments to improve client service
- Keep up to date with market trends and insurer relationships
DAY-TO-DAY
- Handle client enquiries and provide insurance advice
- Manage renewals, policy changes, and claims support
- Prepare presentations and negotiate with insurers
- Produce branded reports for new business opportunities
- Conduct compliance checks on client documentation
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a senior commercial account handling role
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
- Solid understanding of FCA compliance requirements
- Familiar with insurance management platforms
- CII qualification or willingness to pursue is preferred
- Experience with Acturis or similar systems is desirable
