We are seeking a skilled Commercial Account Handler to join our client’s dynamic team. As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial clients, providing them with exceptional support and guidance. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of commercial insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their unique insurance needs and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Handle the day-to-day servicing of client accounts, including policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with the account executive to prepare and present client proposals and insurance programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, insurance products, and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Assist in the negotiation of terms and conditions with insurance carriers to obtain the best coverage for clients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and transactions in the agency management system.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in commercial account handling and operations within an insurance brokerage or agency.
  • Minimum 5 GCSE, Grades A-C including English and Maths.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and underwriting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in agency management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Relevant insurance certifications such as Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) are a plus.

Day-to-Day

  • Communicate with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide expert advice.
  • Process client requests for policy changes, endorsements, and certificates of insurance.
  • Collaborate with account executives to prepare comprehensive insurance proposals.
