PURPOSE OF ROLE
Lawes Consulting Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing independent insurance brokerage in their search for a Commercial Account Handler. As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, ensuring high levels of service and retention. Working closely with Account Executives and insurers, you will provide expert advice, handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business quotes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and service a portfolio of SME to mid-corporate clients across a variety of commercial lines
- Handle policy renewals, adjustments, and new quotations in a timely and compliant manner
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters
- Support Account Executives in developing and securing new business opportunities
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with FCA regulations
DAY-TO-DAY
- Gathering necessary information for policy renewals and adjustments
- Liaise with insurers to obtain competitive quotes and ensure policies are placed efficiently
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support business development activities through proactive client engagement and relationship management
SKILLS
- Cert CII qualified would be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills
- Great communicator and team player
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience working as a Commercial Account Handler within the insurance broking industry
- Proven track record of servicing a portfolio of SME to mid-corporate commercial clients across various lines of business
- Experience handling policy renewals, mid-term adjustments, and generating new business quotations
- Comfortable liaising with insurers and underwriters to negotiate terms and place cover effectively
- Familiarity with FCA compliance requirements and maintaining accurate client documentation
- Experience supporting Account Executives with client management and business development activities is desirable
