PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are working with our client-an established insurance broker to help them find an experienced Real Estate / Property Owners Account Handler to join their team in London.
Our client is open to individuals from any line of business who would be interested to move into a corporate role.
In this role, you’ll support a diverse portfolio of property owner and real estate clients, ranging from commercial businesses to large corporate accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare renewal reports, market submissions, and presentations
- Secure competitive quotes for new and renewal business
- Diligently check policy documentation
- Oversee premium tracking and credit control, escalating issues when necessary
- Act as a primary client contact for coverage queries, policy changes, and risk guidance
- Check and validate policy documents in line with regulatory standards
- Advise on insurance and risk management in collaboration with the account team
- Coordinate global insurance programmes, liaising with international partners
- Build strong relationships with clients, insurers, and third-party stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve service and add client value
- Support insurance administrators and resolve complex client queries
DAY-TO-DAY
- Liaising regularly with clients, underwriters, and internal colleagues to manage renewals, adjustments, and queries
- Preparing detailed documentation and ensuring all files are audit-ready
- Participating in internal and client meetings
- Following up on outstanding premiums and supporting credit control efforts.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and documentation
- Assisting the wider account team with strategic planning and major client developments
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 2 years’ insurance experience, ideally in a broker setting as an Account Handler within any line of business
- Experience with real estate clients-particularly commercial property owners or managing agents-is highly desirable
- Cert CII is preferred
