PURPOSE OF ROLE
Are you a driven and experienced Commercial Insurance professional ready for your next challenge? We are looking for a New Business Account Executive to join our growing team in the South West and play a key role in expanding our Commercial portfolio. This is a newly created role driven by ongoing growth and recent investment. You’ll focus on developing mid-market commercial clients (£10k+ premiums) across the South, supported by a prospect list, high-value industry memberships, and strong internal resources. You’ll enjoy genuine autonomy — no geographical boundaries, no class-of-business restrictions, and the freedom to manage your book your way. Work fully remotely with the option to use a local office, and build your pipeline with quality prospecting data and insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive new business growth in the commercial sector
- Work from a prospect list and generate your own leads and opportunities, applying an entrepreneurial approach
- Leverage memberships with key organisations to network and build relationships
- Present tailored insurance and risk management solutions to secure new business
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients virtually or in person
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal standards
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in Commercial insurance sales and client management
- Background in Commercial Broking
- Cert CII qualification (or working towards it) – desirable
- Experience with Acturis – desirable
SKILLS
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Confident communicator and natural relationship builder
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
