Lawes is partnering with a Lloyds MGA specialising in Real Estate Insurance to recruit a Graduate Underwriting Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start their career in insurance within an underwriting environment. The successful candidate will support the Underwriters with managing the book of risks and handling a variety of administrative duties. Full training and development will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for dealing with incoming calls and emails
- Assisting Underwriters
- Entering and processing risk information
- Allocating premiums
- Liaising with Underwriters and Brokers as needed
- Prepare and issue insurance documents such as evidence of cover
- Data entry and general administrative duties
- Ad-hoc duties as needed
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Degree educated or equivalent
- An understanding of Insurance and a desire to continue to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Strong IT skills including all MS Office
