PURPOSE OF ROLE
Our client, a well-established and growing insurance brokerage, is looking for a driven and experienced Commercial Account Executive to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled insurance professional to inherit a book of business and further develop it, with a flexible mix of new business and existing client management tailored to the individual.
You will be responsible for handling a diverse range of commercial insurance policies, managing client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service standards.
SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of general commercial insurance products and markets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Confident in managing a portfolio with premiums ranging from £1k – £100k
- Strong business development skills with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 years plus experience in the insurance industry, specifically within commercial insurance
- Proven track record of managing a book of business successfully
- Experience dealing with a mix of New and Existing business
- Exposure to handling a variety of commercial insurance products
QUALIFICATIONS
- Cert CII qualification (preferred but not essential)

- Managing and growing an inherited book of business, ensuring excellent client service

- Advising clients on the best insurance solutions for their needs
- Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business enquiries
- Negotiating with insurers to secure competitive terms for clients
- Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products
