Job Title: Commercial Account Executive
Location: East Midlands (flexible, occasional office visits required)
Salary: £60,000 per annum + bonus structure and car allowance
PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Executive to inherit and manage a portfolio of business within various sectors, including charity, education, healthcare, and general commercial. This is a client-facing role that offers autonomy and the opportunity to grow a book of business, meeting sales targets through new business, existing clients, and referrals. The role is largely field-based, with occasional office visits required for team meetings and relationship-building activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage an established portfolio worth £400k to £500k income across charity, education, healthcare, and commercial sectors
- Target 10% growth through a combination of managing existing accounts, securing referrals, and bringing in new business
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for insurance services
- Identify potential clients, pitch insurance products, conduct negotiations, and close deals effectively
- Work closely with internal teams, such as account handlers, and ensure smooth communication between all stakeholders
- Spend time with clients, sales teams, and other key stakeholders, with 2-3 days of field-based travel each week
