An excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to support Solicitors and Partners within a highly regarded Intellectual Property practice. The role involves providing comprehensive legal and PA support, handling a mix of routine and complex paralegal and secretarial tasks, and working with a high level of autonomy. The practice area is IP Litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day secretarial and paralegal support to Solicitors and Partners
  • Preparing correspondence, legal documents and formal agreements
  • Managing file administration, including document filing, scanning and photocopying
  • Sending and managing emails on behalf of fee earners
  • Completing conflict checks
  • Preparing and calculating client invoices, including debit and credit notes
  • Opening and closing case files on practice management systems
  • Recording and maintaining key dates and deadlines in case management systems and diaries
  • Processing expense requests
  • Providing PA support, including diary management and arranging travel and flights

Required Experience

  • Previous legal secretarial experience within a law firm (litigation experience preferred)
  • Strong typing and keyboard skills
  • Experience with digital dictation and audio typing
  • Experience with client billing and working within a complex billing structure
