We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading US law firm, to assist them in their search for a new Accounting Assistant. This is a new role in their London office, to work as part of their highly collaborative team, assisting the Finance Team with day-to-day administrative, finance, and accounting support.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with preparing statutory account information.
  • Preparing internal reviews, external audits, journal entries, and supporting month-end close processes.
  • Supporting general ledger coding.
  • Preparing reports, as necessary.
  • Assisting with e-invoicing compliance and supporting regulatory obligations.
  • Gathering data for VAT returns.
  • Assisting with enquiry and audit documents and compliance with tax authority initiatives.
  • Preparing schedules and supporting projects.
  • Advancing efficiency and streamlining finance processes.
  • Attending training opportunities.

The firm are offering a competitive salary benefits package, and hybrid working arrangements are in place. Suitable candidates will have gained prior experience within accounting or finance, ideally within a law firm, although professional services environments will also be considered. We are seeking applicants with exemplary attention to detail, communication, and organisation skills. Demonstrated experience with Excel and financial software is essential.
