We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading U.S. law firm to assist the firm in their search for a new Tax Legal Secretary. This role will be offered on a part‑time basis, Monday–Wednesday, 9:30 am–5:30 pm. This is a new role in the London office, to work as part of a highly collaborative team. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing administrative and secretarial tasks for assigned attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, editing, transcribing, and proofreading documents.
  • Maintaining deadline reminder and calendar systems.
  • Organising and prioritising calls, incoming and outgoing mail, documents, and projects.
  • Scheduling activities, meetings, and conferences.
  • Maintaining e‑filing and records‑management systems.
  • Opening and maintaining all client and general files and conducting review for storage of older files.
  • Updating client contacts.
  • Ensuring weekly timesheets are dealt with efficiently.
  • Supporting absences within the secretarial team and liaising with administrative support staff.
  • Attending training and team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Suitable applicants will have prior legal secretarial experience within a law firm and possess strong transcription, time‑management, proofreading, and interpersonal skills.
