HR Support are excited to be working alongside this leading City-based law firm to support them with the growth and expansion of their HR team, and in particular the specialists that support the development of their Trainee Solicitor population. The role is permanent, available immediately, and working hybrid (3 days in the office).As part of a growing team, with superb opportunities for your own personal advancement and growth, you will be the key link between senior stakeholders across the firm, the wider HR team, and the 70+ trainee solicitors whose progression and development you will oversee.Duties will include;Take ownership of the Trainee seating plan rotations as well at the mid- and end of seat reviews, working with managers and other stakeholders.Support the Trainees taking the SQE qualification route, and advise on changes as they arise.Provide pastoral support for the Trainees population throughout their time at the firm, building strong relationships and becoming their trusted advisor.Be part of business planning and strategic discussions, providing valuable insight and advice.Support Partners and Managers to help them development of their people management skills in relation to the Trainees in their charge.Work with the HR and L&D teams to identify training needs. What they are looking for is a confident and engaging HR professional who has worked closely with a trainee population and understands the importance of guidance and support, as well as helping them make informed decisions. Ideally you will have gained that experience in a law firm, but they will also consider candidates from other professional services organizations that have similar routes to qualification, such as accountancy, or large corporates with a strong “campus recruitment” offering.This role would be perfect if you’re in a more generalist HR role but looking to specialize in an area where the effects of your pastoral support and guidance can be seen and appreciated.
