This is a hybrid working arrangement where you will be able to work from home provided you can attend their Telford office a minimum of 2/3 days a week and attend court to represent their clients as and when required.
Responsibilities
As the CEO of their law firm, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, alongside running a small family law caseload. You will lead a team of solicitors, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure that the firm operates efficiently and effectively and continues to develop and grow.

Develop and implement business strategies to ensure long-term success and growth of the firm

Manage and motivate a team of solicitors, paralegals, and administrative staff

Develop and maintain relationships with clients, staff, managers, and key decision-makers

Monitor and manage the financial performance of the firm, including budgets and billing

Ensure that the firm complies with all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements

Oversee the development and implementation of marketing and business development initiatives

Represent the firm in negotiations and other business-related activities

Ensure that all team members receive appropriate training and support

Set performance goals and objectives for the team and provide regular feedback

Support business development initiatives including networking and marketing events to raise the profile of the firm and build new client relationships.
Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in a wide range of family law matters.

Manage and oversee cases from inception to completion, ensuring cases are handled efficiently and effectively

Manage a team of solicitors providing supervision, guidance and support where needed

Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for cross-selling other services offered by the firm

Attend court and represent clients effectively

Draft legal documents including agreements, court papers, and other relevant documents

Keep up to date with relevant legal developments and changes in the law, ensuring knowledge is embedded in the team

Ensure adherence to the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct and maintain confidentiality at all times.
A qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 10 years PQE and with at least 5 years in a leadership position. For the right candidate, CEO experience will be trained only if you have a strong, proven track record of excellence as a Senior Family Law Solicitor.
You have the ability and confidence to work with no supervision. You will be experienced at dealing with all manner of family law matters and be fully confident and competent at dealing with financial remedy cases and doing your own advocacy from start to FDR. Tenacious by nature, you will have a natural willingness to rethink current strategies and standards for the greater good of the team/firm/clients. You are happy to work autonomously and self-govern within the remit of the responsibilities of your role. You are a strategic communicator who is always thinking about the best thing to say, when and how to say it and how it aligns with the overall desired outcome for clients. You will be able to delegate tasks and supervise where appropriate.
