An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded Employment Law team in London. My client is a well-established, Legal 500-recognised firm with a leading Employment department that advises a wide range of commercial and private clients. The team combines technical expertise with a commercial and pragmatic approach, offering both contentious and non-contentious advice at the highest level.

Employment Solicitor — Position Overview:

Advise employer clients on the full spectrum of employment law issues
Handle contentious and non-contentious matters, including Employment Tribunal claims
Support corporate transactions with due diligence and TUPE advice
Draft and review employment contracts, staff handbooks, consultancy agreements, NDAs, and settlement agreements
Advise on reorganisations, disciplinaries, grievances, and day-to-day HR issues
Manage cases involving employment status, redundancy, and restrictive covenants
Provide clear, commercial advice to clients and work autonomously with partner support
Contribute to business development and client relationship managementRequirements of the Employment Solicitor:

Qualified Solicitor with 3–8 years’ PQE in Employment Law
Experience advising employers (experience with senior employees also beneficial)
Strong academic background and high-quality training
Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment work
Practical knowledge of the Employment Tribunal process
Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, proactive, and commercially minded
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and client relationship focus
Confident, professional, and discreet in all client dealings
