This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with a strong background in criminal law who is looking to further develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: – Managing a varied caseload of criminal defense matters, including police station advice, Magistrates' and Crown Court representation. – Advising clients on legal rights and responsibilities and ensuring the highest standards of service. – Conducting advocacy in court, preparing cases for trial, and liaising with counsel when necessary. – Representing clients in bail applications, pleas, sentencing, and appeals. – Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of criminal law, procedures, and regulations. – Attending police stations for interviews under caution, often outside normal working hours, on a rota basis. – Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
