Senior Conveyancer – Team Lead Location: Leicester Department: Residential Conveyancing Role Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Conveyancer to join, manage, and develop our clients expanding Residential Conveyancing team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to take on a leadership role within a growing practice, combining hands-on conveyancing work with team management and business development responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of client service whilst driving the continued growth and success of the department. Key Responsibilities Conveyancing Matters Manage a diverse caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion, including: Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases New-build properties Re-mortgages Equity release transactions Transfer of equity matters Conduct all aspects of conveyancing work with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Provide expert legal advice to clients on residential property matters Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, and other legal documentation Conduct due diligence including searches, enquiries, and title investigations Liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, other solicitors, and third parties Ensure all transactions comply with current legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines Team Management & Leadership Business Development & Client Relations Compliance & Risk ManagementEssential Skills & Experience Qualifications & Experience Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEx-qualified with significant post-qualification experience Minimum 5+ years\’ experience in residential conveyancing Proven track record of managing a varied caseload including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, equity release, and transfers of equity Experience in leasehold and new-build transactions Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising a team Strong understanding of current conveyancing law, practice, and procedure Technical Skills Business Development & Client Management Management & Leadership Personal Attributes Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong organizational and time-management abilities Client-focused with a commitment to excellent service delivery Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Professional, diplomatic, and commercially minded Collaborative team player with leadership qualitiesWhat is on Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Career progression opportunities within a growing firm Supportive and collaborative working environment Ongoing professional development and training Benefits: 26 days holiday.
