Position Overview:
You will support fee earners within the Commercial Property department, assisting with transactions from initial instruction through to completion and registration at the Land Registry while gaining valuable experience across a wide range of commercial property work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with onboarding and client care processes including ID checks and source of funds verification
- Obtaining and reviewing title documents
- Preparing sale and auction packs
- Submitting property searches
- Preparing replies to CPSE and SCR enquiries
- Assisting with reports on title
- Drafting landlord and tenant documentation and sale contracts
- Preparing Stamp Duty Land Tax returns
- Preparing Land Registry applications and responding to requisitions
- Preparing completion statements, invoices and accounts forms
- Assisting with post-completion work and file closing
- Communicating with clients, agents and third parties
- Attending meetings and taking notes
- Supporting corporate property work where required
Requirements:
- Previous paralegal experience within commercial property desirable
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and dependable approach to work
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and legal systems
