Our client is seeking an Assistant Conveyancing Solicitor/ Legal Executive. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Conveyancing Solicitor / CILEX to join a busy and growing Residential Property team in North Finchley. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their conveyancing career while supporting senior fee-earners on a high-quality caseload. Position Overview
You will assist fee earners with residential property transactions across freehold, leasehold, and new build matters helping to ensure a smooth process for clients from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Conveyancing Solicitor:
- Support senior fee earners across all conveyancing matters
- Sales and purchases - freehold and leasehold
- Remortgages and transfers of equity
- Drafting contracts, reports and standard documents
- Carrying out searches, AML & ID checks
- Lease extensions and auction matters
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other firms
- File management, compliance support and admin duties
- Assist with post-completion requirements
- Working knowledge of the Building Safety Act (preferred but not essential)
- New Build experience desirable
Requirements of the Assistant Conveyancing Solicitor:
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX (or near completion of qualification)
- Some residential conveyancing experience desirable
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage tasks with accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Confident IT skills including case management systems
- Positive attitude and keen to learn from experienced team members
- Must be able to reliably commute to North Finchley
