Our client is looking for a skilled Private Client Legal Assistant to join their reputable Private Client team. Our distinguished Client offer a salary of up to £32,000pa, generous holiday allowance with option to buy and sell, a health cash plan, death in service cover plus lots more. You’ll provide essential secretarial and administrative support to at least two Fee Earners, all while ensuring exceptional service for clients.
Requirements of the Private Client Legal Assistant:
Have experience in a Private Client Department or relevant legal qualifications
Secretarial experience in a Law Firm
Strong communication skills
Fast and accurate typing, and the ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure
Private Client Legal Assistant - What will be expected of you - a brief overview:
Follow the Team Leader’s guidance to take client instructions and progress matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate and Trust administration.
Ensure all work is prepared accurately and in line with firm standards and TL instructions.
Manage an assigned caseload, including file management, time recording, accounting and billing.
Maintain appropriate work-in-progress, manage disbursements, and ensure client money is accurately accounted for and transferred when required.
Open and close client files, including completing online AML checks.
Manage Lawyers’ diaries and arrange appointments.
Provide typing and administrative support to fee earners.
