Our client is seeking an experienced Family Legal Secretary to join their Family Law and Childcare teams. The successful Family Legal Secretary will have proven legal secretarial experience, ideally within Family or Childcare Law, along with strong organisational skills and fast, accurate typing with excellent attention to detail.

A nationally recognised law firm with over 20 years’ experience, ranked by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners and featured in The Times Best Law Firms (2023–2025). The firm handles both private and publicly funded work and continues to grow nationwide with a team of 200+ professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate documents from digital dictation and copy typing.
  • Manage and maintain electronic filing systems.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing telephone communications with clients, counsel, experts, and third parties.
  • Maintain appointment diaries for fee earners and senior members.
  • Provide professional client‑facing support, including in‑person interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to all office policies and procedures.
  • Assist with CCMS legal aid applications and related matters.
  • Process fee notes and manage issues relating to experts’ invoices.
