Position Overview

You will manage a varied caseload of medium to high-value disputes in wills, estates, inheritance, and trusts. You’ll work alongside renowned experts in the field with strong opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle contentious probate disputes for claimants and defendants, including challenges to validity of wills
  • Advise on Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims
  • Manage disputes concerning executors, trustees, and beneficiaries
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements and settlement correspondence
  • Engage in ADR and attend mediations, hearings, and client conferences
  • Maintain compliance and accurate case records
  • Collaborate with private client and wider litigation teams
  • Stay current with probate legislation and share expertise within the team

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • 2–5 years PQE in contentious probate litigation
  • Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive matters independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and client‑care skills
  • Highly organised and able to work to deadlines
