Our client is a well-established criminal defence practice specialising in criminal law and road traffic matters. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Paralegal to join their team and undertake fee-earning work. They offer free car parking, bonus plus more.
The successful candidate will assist in representing clients throughout criminal investigations and proceedings, including attendance at Police Stations and Courts both during and outside normal office hours. This role requires a proactive individual with strong client care skills and a genuine interest in criminal defence work.
Crime Paralegal Role- Undertake fee-earning work and support clients in criminal defence and road traffic matters
- Attend to clients and represent their interests professionally and effectively
- Assist with Police Station and Court attendances as required
- Manage all client matters allocated in accordance with the firm’s procedures and quality standards
- Progress client work efficiently, ensuring clients are kept fully informed at all stages
- Deliver high standards of client care in a professional, empathetic, and approachable manner
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all client and business information
- Accurately record all fee-earning time
- Comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Solicitors Code of Conduct
- Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues across the firm
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external organisations and institutions
- Take responsibility for ongoing training and professional development
- Actively support business development and assist in attracting new work
- Undertake any additional duties as reasonably required
- Previous experience within a criminal law environment is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied caseload
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Professional, confident, and client-focused approach
- Willingness to work flexibly, including out-of-hours attendance when required
