Position Overview:
My client is seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor to advise on a broad range of commercial real estate matters , including secured lending, general sales and purchases, estate development, leases, and options . The role involves working closely with clients, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth transactions and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and handle leases both inside and outside the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 for both landlords and tenants.
- Advise on and manage commercial and mixed-use sale and purchase transactions .
- Handle acquisition and subsequent plot sale work for small to medium-sized residential developments.
- Advise on planning issues and related documents.
- Manage secured lending transactions .
- Prepare contract packs with supporting documents.
- Advise on telecommunication and utility agreements .
- Conduct title investigations and handle related legal work.
- Draft and manage Deeds of Easement, Deeds of Variation , and other property-related deeds.
- Liaise with clients, borrowers, asset managers, and external professionals.
- Oversee post-completion matters , ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Attend marketing and networking meetings to enhance the firm’s presence.
- Use case management systems effectively.
- Manage client billing , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience advising developers, occupiers, estates, private companies, and landowners .
- Strong background in commercial property work , particularly Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 matters.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail .
- Commercial awareness with a proactive and financially focused approach.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills , with a strong team ethos.
