Position Overview:
My client is seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor to advise on a broad range of commercial real estate matters , including secured lending, general sales and purchases, estate development, leases, and options . The role involves working closely with clients, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth transactions and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft and handle leases both inside and outside the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 for both landlords and tenants.
  2. Advise on and manage commercial and mixed-use sale and purchase transactions .
  3. Handle acquisition and subsequent plot sale work for small to medium-sized residential developments.
  4. Advise on planning issues and related documents.
  5. Manage secured lending transactions .
  6. Prepare contract packs with supporting documents.
  7. Advise on telecommunication and utility agreements .
  8. Conduct title investigations and handle related legal work.
  9. Draft and manage Deeds of Easement, Deeds of Variation , and other property-related deeds.
  10. Liaise with clients, borrowers, asset managers, and external professionals.
  11. Oversee post-completion matters , ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  12. Attend marketing and networking meetings to enhance the firm’s presence.
  13. Use case management systems effectively.
  14. Manage client billing , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements:
Essential:

  1. Proven experience advising developers, occupiers, estates, private companies, and landowners .
  2. Strong background in commercial property work , particularly Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 matters.
  3. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail .
  4. Commercial awareness with a proactive and financially focused approach.
  5. Excellent communication and organisational skills , with a strong team ethos.
