A leading law firm is seeking a Funds Paralegal to join its investment management practice in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on exposure to sophisticated funds work within a collaborative, partner‑led team, with early responsibility on high‑quality matters.
The role
As a Funds Paralegal, you’ll support lawyers across a broad range of UK and international funds matters, including:
- Assisting with closed‑end fundraisings and secondary transactions
- Supporting AML/KYC processes and investor onboarding
- Assisting with subscription documentation and fund closings
- Preparing FCA applications and regulatory notification forms
- Processing amendments to key fund documentation
- Liaising directly with clients and regulators by telephone
- Taking part in departmental training alongside trainees
You’ll be trusted with meaningful responsibility from an early stage and gain insight into how complex funds transactions are run in practice.
The team & work
The funds team advises sponsors, managers, investors and service providers across the full lifecycle of private funds, including:
- UK and international fund formations
- Primary fund investments, co‑investments and secondaries
- GP stake transactions, seed capital and continuation vehicles
Much of the work is cross‑border, offering exposure to global clients and international advisers.
About you
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong academic qualifications
- LPC or SQE completed (preferred)
- A genuine interest in funds and investment management
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive, professional approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a high‑performing team
