A leading law firm is looking for a Revenue Assistant to join its collaborative Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career who enjoys working at pace, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to develop within a professional services environment.
The opportunity
You’ll play a key role in converting work in progress into compliant invoices, supporting revenue controllers, and helping to ensure timely payment across a high‑volume billing environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Processing a high volume of invoices accurately and in line with established procedures
- Issuing invoices to clients and supporting effective debt collection
- Resolving billing and payment queries, escalating where appropriate
- Liaising confidently with fee‑earners, partners, and finance colleagues
- Maintaining accurate records relating to unpaid invoices
- Providing day‑to‑day support to Revenue Controllers and the wider finance team
What we’re looking for
- 1–2 years’ experience in a revenue, billing or credit control role (professional services preferred)
- Strong numeracy skills and a good understanding of financial processes
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage a busy workload
- A collaborative team player with a strong customer‑service mindset
- Comfortable using Word, Excel and Outlook (legal systems experience a plus, not essential)
