A top law firm is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join its Operations team in Birmingham. This is a newly created role offering genuine scope to shape and own the firm's internal business development communications and digital content strategy, working closely with senior partners and colleagues across multiple regions. The Senior Business Development Executive will play a key role in enhancing the firm's internal business development communications, using digital content, campaign management and channel ownership to support the firm's wider growth strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop engaging digital and multimedia content for business development campaigns and strategic initiatives
  • Provide specialist advice to fee-earners and content owners on effective business development communications
  • Manage the creation and delivery of a weekly business development newsletter
  • Take ownership of internal business development channels, including a review of the intranet within the first six months
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to coordinate and schedule campaign messaging
  • Support senior partners with the delivery of quarterly business updates to the firm
  • Implement and champion effective governance of digital business development channels
  • Create templates, banners and multimedia assets for business development campaigns
  • Produce video content, including short films, gifs and animation, with scope to run internal video shoots
  • Work with internal teams to improve business development tools and resources for efficiency and accessibility
  • Monitor engagement metrics and prepare insightful reports on the impact of business development activity

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Significant experience in a business development, marketing or communications role, ideally within professional services
  • Proficiency in digital content creation for intranets, newsletters and multimedia
  • Strong skills in managing internal digital communication and business development channels
  • Ability to interpret engagement data and use it to shape content and campaign strategy
  • Familiarity with design and multimedia tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills, with confidence engaging senior partners
  • An innovative mindset with a genuine interest in emerging digital communication trends and formats such as podcasts
