The content coordinator provides support in all stages of the publishing process, in particular, coordinating submissions with authors from draft through to launch in various formats and on different platforms. The content coordinator role is client facing, working with multiple authors from around the world, managing key client relationships and performing a range of duties necessary to ensure the portfolio of online publications are launched on schedule. The content coordinator is involved in various publishing activities, including liaising with editors, responding to clients, dealing with queries and organising workflows. The content coordinator collaborates with internal departments setting schedules for submissions and project manages manuscript delivery and editorial review to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with contributors to ensure copy is received in a timely fashion, setting deadlines, sending reminders of due dates and chasing late copy.
- Work closely with content and production teams to ensure copy is edited, amended and finalised in time for launch.
- Utilise content management systems to coordinate and launch content.
- Organise and manage workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Deal with phone and email enquiries.
- Reporting, filing, diary management and other key administrative tasks.
- Identify, mitigate and report risks to delivery.
