The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.
This is a maternity cover position. The role requires you to be responsible for your allocated events from concept through to delivery. You will need to deliver each of your events successfully and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Research suitable conference and social event venues
- Negotiate and contract venues for conferences, dinners, drinks receptions and awards ceremonies, including signing off your own contracts for dinners
- Produce and file important documentation pertaining to each event including timelines, contracts, travel plans, checklists and supplier details
- Determine and keep an accurate record of event spend on each event
- Liaise with external contractors and sponsors
- Negotiate and execute partner agreements and venue contracts
- Communicate effectively with sales, editorial, sponsorship, production and other departments
- Handle issues and troubleshoot problems, from the office and onsite
- Assist and mentor more junior team members
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑event evaluations and report findings
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Highly organised, able to work to tight targets and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport
- Ability to communicate effectively with a C‑level audience
- At least 2‑3 years of experience managing and delivering first‑class paid delegate B2B events and conferences
