Structured Products Lawyer – Global Private Markets Investment Manager
Location: London
We’re working with a leading global private markets investment manager to find an experienced Structured Products Lawyer to join their growing Structuring Solutions team in London.
With over $170bn in AUM and a presence across 23 global offices, this firm is at the forefront of innovation in private markets – and this role is central to the delivery of structured products including CLOs, CFOs, rated feeders, and bespoke solutions for institutional clients worldwide. The position also partners closely with the firm’s Private Credit business, which manages more than $30bn across direct lending, structured credit and liquid strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop and execute innovative fund structures across private markets
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of legal documentation including offering memoranda, CLO/CFO documentation, credit agreements, IMAs, side letters and more
- Manage end-to-end structuring processes, working directly with investors, rating agencies, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with global regulations (Investment Advisers Act, AIFMD, Solvency II, etc.)
- Translate complex financial structures into legal documents, including waterfalls and priority of payments
- Stay abreast of regulatory and industry changes and support client-facing teams in pitching and investor presentations
What they’re looking for:
- 7+ years\’ experience in structured finance, ideally within a top-tier law firm, investment bank, or asset manager
- UK or US qualified lawyer (minimum 5 years’ PQE)
- Strong experience with CLOs, CFOs, rated feeders and private credit structuring
- Familiarity with credit facilities (e.g. ABLs, SPV lending) and associated documentation
- Solid understanding of global regulatory and tax frameworks, particularly those relevant to insurance and cross-border capital flows
- Ability to work across legal, investment, and distribution teams in a high-performance environment
