An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor (8+ PQE) to join a highly regarded Top 500 law firm with a strong reputation in both commercial and residential property disputes. This role offers high-quality work, genuine autonomy, and a clear platform for progression within a collaborative and well-structured team.
The firm’s property disputes practice handles a broad mix of contentious matters, including commercial landlord and tenant issues (lease renewals, dilapidations, service charges, tenant default and possession), restrictive covenants, redevelopment-related disputes, telecoms matters, and leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions. The team also works closely with real estate colleagues on development-related disputes such as options, overage, boundary issues, party wall matters and rights of light. The focus is on delivering strategic, commercially minded advice aimed at both resolving and preventing disputes.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of residential and commercial property litigation matters from pre-action through to trial, with appropriate supervision where needed. The role includes client contact, strategic input, and advocacy at hearings where required, as well as close collaboration with colleagues across real estate and private client teams. This is well suited to a solicitor looking to step into a role with greater responsibility, visibility and client exposure, while still benefiting from the support of an established and respected practice.
The Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years’ PQE with strong experience in contentious property work
- Solid background in landlord and tenant disputes and general property litigation
- Confident managing files independently and taking ownership of matters
- Commercially aware with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach
- Comfortable in client-facing situations and building long-term relationships
