An opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a non-departmental public body (NDPB) which funds projects and activities that transform communities. This is a permanent role for 2 days a week (0.4 FTE).

As the Senior Solicitor, you will work alongside an experienced team, reporting into the Legal Manager. You will be responsible for providing expert legal, strategic and commercial advice in line with the organisations objectives, as well as leading on high-value funding programmes and major initiatives with external partners and grant holders. You will support with the development of policies and processes as well as supporting with training and development of junior staff.

To be considered, you should be a UK qualified (or equivalent) Solicitor or Barrister and have at leave five years’ relevant post qualification experience in general commercial matters and/or litigation, ideally within a public law setting. Experience of working in the charity sector and/or in house is desirable, as is experience of advising on state aid/subsidy control and drafting grant-funding agreements. Finally experience of advising on major projects, and/or contentious matters, government consultation responses or government inquiries is highly desirable.

On offer is a salary of Β£66,659 FTE (London) or Β£60,308 FTE (Nationwide). The salary will be pro-rata to 2 days a week (0.4 FTE). They have a hybrid approach to working, work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. The role can be based at any of their UK offices, these are Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Newcastle and Newtown.
