Overview

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority Shared Service based in Cambridgeshire for a senior planning lawyer to join them on a temporary basis (which has potential to become permanent).

You will provide a range of public sector clients with professional legal advice on planning, large scale development, and highways matters. This includes representing clients in negotiations and ensuring compliance with statutory duties and obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional legal advice on planning, development and highways matters to public sector clients.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and ensure compliance with statutory duties and obligations.

Qualifications

  • An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX chartered legal executive
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of handling a caseload of planning, development and highways matters
  • Able to attend the office in Cambridgeshire on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week
  • Available on no more than a 4-week notice period

Compensation

The salary for this role is £50-£60/hour umbrella (PAYE equivalent is available if preferred), depending on experience.
