A local authority based in South London is seeking a Prosecutions Lawyer for an initial period of three months.

The successful Prosecutions Lawyer will be required to advise on a broad range of matters to include benefit fraud, fly tipping, noise pollutions, health and safety, food hygiene, licensing, trading standards, housing benefit fraud, council tax fraud and planning contraventions. You will also need to attend court on behalf of clients at both the Magistrates and Crown Courts.

Previous local government experience would be preferred. You must have a current practising certificate to be considered for the role.

Our client is seeking candidates available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice. This is a hybrid role.

Pay rate for the role is dependent on experience between £35-55 per hour.
