Private Client Lawyer

A well-known UK law firm is looking to recruit a Private Client Associate with 2–4 years' PQE to join its established Private Client practice in London.

The team advises on a broad range of private client matters, including estate and succession planning, trusts, personal taxation and estate administration. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop their expertise within a well-established practice and gain exposure to a varied caseload.

The Role

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced lawyers on a range of private client matters, including:

• Drafting wills and advising on estate and succession planning.
• Advising on the establishment and administration of trusts.
• Providing advice on inheritance tax and other personal tax planning matters.
• Handling probate and estate administration, including more complex estates.
• Assisting with cross-border private client matters and international estate planning.
• Advising on lasting powers of attorney and related matters.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professional advisers.

The Ideal Candidate

• A qualified solicitor with 2–4 years' PQE in Private Client.
• Solid experience in wills, trusts, probate and estate planning.
• Good understanding of inheritance tax and personal tax considerations.
• Strong drafting, communication and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage matters effectively.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with an interest in further developing their private client expertise.

Experience in international private client matters or more complex tax planning would be advantageous but is not essential.
