We’re working with a leading global organisation to appoint an Assistant Company Secretary into its high-performing Corporate Secretariat team on a temporary basis. This is a 6-month interim role with the possibility of extension. You’ll support the delivery of high-quality corporate governance and regulatory compliance across a multi-listed PLC structure. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll contribute to core company secretarial activities while playing a key role in a large-scale governance transformation programme.
Start date: July 2026 (ASAP)
Location: London (hybrid working)
Contract duration: 6 months +
Key Responsibilities:
- Support governance and compliance requirements for a globally listed group
- Assist in reviewing and enhancing company secretarial processes and frameworks
- Contribute to a major regulatory and governance transformation programme
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external legal advisers (UK & US)
- Support the preparation of regulatory filings, including US reporting obligations
- Assist with implementation, testing, and continuous improvement of new processes
About You:
- CGI (Chartered Governance Institute) qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven company secretarial experience within a FTSE 100 or complex FTSE 250 environment
- Strong understanding of UK listed company governance requirements
- Experience of NYSE regulations and US reporting requirements
- Exposure to JSE listing requirements would be advantageous
- Confident working in a multi-jurisdictional, fast-paced environment
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in approach
