An independent charitable foundation, dedicated to building a climate-resilient future for the world’s most vulnerable, are seeking a Legal Director to join their legal team in London. As the Legal Director, you will be responsible for providing expert and strategic advice on a range of legal issues including charity law, programme structuring and financing, data protection, IP, IT and data security.
You will lead and line manage a small team of Lawyers as well as supporting the General Counsel with the charity’s legal obligations and regulatory requirements.
To be considered for the role, you will be a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent UK qualification) with a current practising certificate and have substantial post-qualification experience. Experience of working in a charity or not-for-profit organisation and demonstrable experience of advising senior leadership on legal risk and governance is essential for this role. Experience of international grant-making or social or impact-first investment structures is desirable.
