Lawyer – Commercial Property

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in South London, for an experienced commercial property lawyer on a locum basis. You will be offered a 3-month contract initially, with potential to extend.

You will handle a diverse range of property matters dealing with public sector land holdings, regeneration and project work including public/private partnership arrangements, development agreements, high value and high-profile transactions.

Previous UK local government experience is essential.

To apply you will:

1. Be an England and Wales qualified lawyer, barrister or chartered legal executive.
2. Be able to demonstrate previous experience handling a caseload of commercial property matters in a local government environment.
3. Be able to attend the office on a hybrid working basis.
4. Be available on no more than a 4-week notice period.

The salary for this role will be offered on an hourly basis and is negotiable dependent on skills and experience; however, initial guidance from the client is between £45 – £55/hour umbrella.
