We are working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Battersea, known for its strong reputation in residential property and high-quality client service. They are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join their in-house team.
This is a fully office-based role, initially offered on a 3–6 month locum basis at a competitive market rate, with a clear and genuine opportunity to transition into a permanent position offering up to £80,000 per annum.
The Role
This is a hands-on position where you will manage a varied caseload across both residential and commercial property matters. You will play a key role in ensuring transactions are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a high-volume caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing matters
- Conducting title checks, property searches, and due diligence
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, leases, and legal documentation
- Handling post-completion matters including registrations and stamp duty submissions
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring full compliance
- Providing support to partners and wider property team as required
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ PQE in property law (residential and/or commercial)
- UK qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer
- Proven experience managing a busy conveyancing caseload
- Strong drafting, communication, and client-facing skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, office-based environment
- Able to commute to Battersea on a full-time basis
