An opportunity for a Lawyer to join a body which funds projects and activities that transform communities. This role is an opportunity to join a fast-paced in-house legal team where the work is varied and includes dispute resolution, complex contracts, subsidy control, procurement and grant and fund agreements
In the role, you will provide advice to internal funding teams, building and maintaining excellent professional relationships. You will manage your own case load of matters as well as helping to develop policies, guidance and processes to simplify and streamline legal and compliance requirements.
To be considered for the role, you will be a UK qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent with at least two years’ relevant experience in private practice or in-house Legal in a medium/large sized organisation. You should have experience of drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of contracts, ideally within a public law setting. Experience of working in the charity sector and/or in house is desirable, as is experience of advising on state aid/subsidy control and drafting grant-funding agreements.
On offer is a salary of £44,227 - £48,100 (National) or £48,284 - £52,100, (London) depending on experience. This role offers a high amount of remote and flexible working but you should expect some travel to your local hub office. The role can be based at any of the UK offices: Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Newtown. Other benefits include a civil service pension scheme.
