Deputy Head of Legal Services

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of an in-house legal services team operating within the emergency services/public sector, based in Hertfordshire, for a Deputy Head of Legal Services on a full-time and permanent basis.

Working alongside the Head of Legal Services to assist in leading the team, you will have caseload responsibility for a broad range of civil litigation matters and claims, and you will have direct line management responsibility for civil investigators and insurance officers.

This role can offer hybrid working and flexi-time options. You must be local enough to Hertfordshire to attend meetings, training, and court hearings when required.

To apply you will be:

• An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive with minimum 3 years’ PQE
• Able to demonstrate previous experience handling a caseload of general litigation matters
• Able to demonstrate previous experience of direct line management
• Able to attend the office and court on a hybrid basis

The salary for this role starts at £52,491 per annum and will increase via regular performance review. Support and training will be available to help you grow and develop in the role.
