A global technology business is seeking an Interim Data Privacy Lawyer to provide short-term support during a period of increased regulatory activity. This is a 3-month initial contract (with potential to extend) and would suit a qualified lawyer with hands-on privacy experience and exposure to the EU Digital Services Act.
The Role:
- Provide day-to-day legal advice on data protection and privacy matters across the business
- Support compliance initiatives relating to the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and associated regulatory frameworks
- Advise on privacy risk assessments, regulatory change, and implementation planning
- Review and support updates to privacy policies, internal governance documentation, and procedures
- Partner with product, technology and compliance teams on regulatory issues impacting digital services
- Liaise with external advisors where required
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified lawyer with 1+ years’ post-qualification experience in data protection and privacy
- Practical experience advising on, or supporting compliance with, the EU Digital Services Act
- Background in a technology, digital, or data-driven environment
- Commercial, pragmatic approach with the ability to work autonomously
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, interim setting
