A local authority based in the East Midlands is seeking a Commercial Contracts Lawyer for an initial three-month locum role. The role is full time (37 hours per week) and offered on a remote basis, with occasional office attendance may be required. A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE and a current practising certificate is required. Local authority experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Work will include services contracts, IT contracts, framework agreements, collaborative procurements, grant agreements and subsidy control.

- Start date: 9 February 2026.
- Pay rate: circa £55 per hour (umbrella).
